Community Events
Being a visible presence at a community or neighborhood event can include having a table or booth at the event, waving signs, and/or passing out flyers. Please keep in mind that you do not have to attend community events in their entirety. The idea here is to spur interest.
Don't worry if you don't know all there is to know about Barack Obama. Share what you do know and then let him speak for himself by directing them to www.barackobama.com.

Neighborhood Activities
There are a variety of ways that you can represent Obama on your own. Here are just a few suggestions:
- If you are having a garage sale, set up an Obama sign, and or sell some campaign buttons and bumper stickers for campaign fund raising.
- If your neighborhood is having a community garage sale, set up an Obama table (even if you are not having a garage sale of your own).
- Gather some friends together and pick a high traffic area to wave Obama signs for an hour or two.
- Make sure that you have Obama signs in your car.
- Wear an Obama button, lapel pin, or t-shirt at events you attend.
- Canvass for Obama in your neighborhood. Check out Canvassing Tips and Techniques for helpful canvassing info.
- If you run or walk, download these graphics to print on iron-on transfers for white t-shirts or tank-tops, and wear them proudly when you run or walk to show your support for Obama:
For a donation to the Obama campaign, you can purchase event kits at the Obama Store. Many items are currently on back order, so be sure and order well ahead of events or activities.
